AION 2 Servers: Regions, Factions and Choosing With Friends

At a glance

Choose Region → Faction → Server, and use the current official list for availability. A name alone is not enough: server names can repeat across regions, and an enemy matchup is not a shared home server.

Start with the official server list

Open the official Global server guide. Its tables cover:

  • Europe
  • North America East
  • North America West
  • Latin America
  • ASIA

The guide separates Launch and Advanced Access servers. Names and availability can change, so use the live table when creating a character.

Choose in the right order

  1. Agree on the region.
  2. Choose the same faction.
  3. Match the exact server.

Each server has one faction. Steam and PURPLE share servers under the official Global launch FAQ.

Do not confuse an enemy pairing with a home server

The captured Europe Launch table pairs Nathara (Elyos) with Tassin (Asmodian). That is an enemy matchup for cross-faction content. It does not put players on the same home server. Pairings may change; reopen the official table before relying on one.

What about friends on another server?

The official October 8 announcement states that instanced content, including dungeons, is available cross-server. It does not establish cross-region or cross-faction grouping. If your goal is a shared home world, match all three parts of the server identity.

No population, queue-time or ping measurements support a busiest-server or best-latency ranking here.
